Online submissions for the 2026 New Zealand Book Awards for Children and Young Adults, for New Zealand books published between 1 April 2025 and 31 March 2026, have now closed.

The finalists for the 2026 Awards will be announced on Wednesday 10 June 2026, and the winners will be announced at an awards ceremony to be held in Wellington on 19 August 2026.

Books published between 1 April 2026 and 31 March 2027 will be eligible for the 2027 awards.
